Innovative Creative Cool This Week

July 8th, 2009 - Designers are increasingly using sustainability as a central design constraint and coming back with out of the box products. Just this week large scale projects like building a bridge
entirely out of recycled plastic to small scale ideas like
powering a cell phone with an airbed foot pump were published somewhere online.

What if we were
harvesting the kinetic energy used at drive thru speed bumps for example? Maybe we could also be driving thru those places in our
pee-powered hydrogen cars, a car that is
also a gym even, while wearing shirts
made from coffee grounds. When I get to the window, I’ll pay from my wallet
made of milk cartons and get some delicious local sustenance from the fairly-paid employee.

The world is full of good ideas, and business brings those ideas into reality. Happy designing!
