Senior Business Development Rep

Full-Time Employee / Remote

The Business Development Representative is responsible for bringing in new business across our three Lines of Business: Live Event Sponsorship, Membership, and through the Digital Platform. You will work in collaboration with the rest of the BDRs to strategically bring value and opportunity to our customers, who are some of the world's largest brands leading sustainability today. You will travel to conference locations several times per year, and will also be responsible for visiting customers and cultivating relationships ongoing. You are extremely diligent in relationship management and you bring heart and personality to the work you do.

Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver annualized sales between US$500K - $1.5MM depending on experience, position and tenure level, through the creation and ongoing management of a Sales Pipeline that is both self-generated as well as generated by internal Business Development processes
  • Seek to engage with Global 1000 companies horizontally and vertically, finding the decision maker and crafting custom engagement opportunities
  • Grow revenue both nationally & internationally
  • Actively contribute to SB’s mission and growth opportunities across all business / product lines
  • Develop global sponsorship packages (in conjunction with marketing and operations teams) to include:
    • Digital outreach
    • On-site customer service program
    • Package/customize multiple event & digital programs, globally

What We're Looking For

  • 7-10 years’ experience in strategic-level business development and sales environment
  • Demonstrated track record of solid sales performance driving revenue growth
  • Results driven & customer centric
  • Team player, collaborative in nature
  • Accountable in all actions and displaying unquestionable integrity and trust
  • Proactive, engaged & innovative thought leader and subject matter expert in Sustainability
  • Ability to communicate openly & encourages feedback amongst colleagues
  • Comfortable presenting to Senior Executives, CEOs, CMOs & CSOs
  • Expert client service experience and proven ability to inspire and motivate teams
  • Entrepreneurial experience a plus
  • Innovative & creative a natural out-of-the-box thinker
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, both written and verbal
  • Proven track record of cultivating relationships & developing proposals
  • MBA preferred
  • Excellent written, communication & presentation skills
  • Knowledge of Salesforce as a CRM is required
