Elizabeth Doty is a former Lab Fellow of Harvard University’s Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics where she studied the recurring challenges companies face in keeping their promises to stakeholders. For 27 years, she has led Leadership Momentum, a boutique consultancy that helps leaders build cultures of commitment, collaboration and action. Her book, The Compromise Trap (Berrett-Koehler 2009), explores how professionals recognize values issues and help their organizations act with integrity under pressure. In 2016 and 2017 she was named Top Thought Leader in Trust, based on her research. She writes regularly for strategy + business magazine and earned her MBA from Harvard Business School in 1991. Ms. Doty also recently joined the Advisory Council of American Promise, a national non-partisan group working to address the arms race of political spending that is driving companies into short-termism and undermining our ability to address humanity’s most critical issues.
