Ellen Weinreb has 23 years of experience working in ESG, CSR and sustainability, with deep expertise helping lead global companies find the best professionals to fill environmental, social and governance roles in nearly every business function. Tapping into her vast global network of experienced sustainability leaders and rising stars, she works one on one with clients from the recruitment stage to placement and beyond to ensure the best fit.
Ellen’s passion for corporate responsibility dates back well before sustainability was a buzzword. After receiving her MBA from Yale in 1998, she launched a niche CSR consulting firm, working with clients including Levi Strauss, Nike, Clorox and Hewlett Packard. In 2005, she founded Weinreb Group Sustainability Recruiting, an executive search firm pioneering the field of corporate sustainability recruiting. Today, Ellen places talent for companies in all parts of the world from her offices in the U.S. and Asia.
A noted thought leader on talent in sustainability, Ellen is a regular contributor to Forbes and Huffington Post, and she writes the “Talent Show” column for GreenBiz. She is also a frequent speaker at conferences including GreenBiz, Net Impact, Fortune Brainstorm Green, UN Global Compact and Sustainable Brands. In 2010, Ellen received the Count Me In Micro to Millions Award for women entrepreneurs. She was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Cameroon working with coffee farms after she graduated with an Economics Degree from Wellesley College.
