John Stewart

Known as a creative marketer and innovator; John F. Stewart has over 20+ years experience in sports and entertainment.

His leadership roles included sponsorship development, sales management, brand marketing, and event production. In 2010 he was asked to join the Boy Scouts of America to assist in the creation of the Summit Bechtel Reserve ( Today, he leads the Corporate Engagement department at the BSA’s National Council office in Irving, TX and is the Managing Director of Scouting Works (, the internal sales agency representing all Media, Programs, Properties, Events, Licensing and Sales opportunities for the BSA. Additionally, Stewart was named the Boy Scouts of America’s first Sustainability Director in 2013.

Stewart’s career has included executive roles at Gaylord Entertainment, the Indy Racing League, Speedway Motorsports, Inc. and he was a senior executive at ignition, an experiential agency known for global productions, brand activations, and tours for numerous leading brands and clients, such as Coca-Cola, Delta Airlines, F1, Nokia, Vodafone, Live 8, Live Earth, Olympic Torch Relay, and FIFA. A lifelong outdoorsman and avid environmentalist, Stewart has been involved in a number of global environmental campaigns.

Stewart is actively involved as a volunteer in local Scouting as well, currently serving as District Chairman for his district, which serves over 4,800 youth. He is involved in a variety of church activities, various 4H projects, Indiana Trail Riders Association, Lion’s Club International and volunteers whenever possible with his daughter’s Girl Scout troop. Stewart and his wife of 25+ years reside on a 115-year-old farm outside of Noblesville, Indiana with their three children and over forty farm animals.
