Carly joined Patagonia in 1997 and was quickly engaged by the company’s mission to build the best product, cause no unnecessary harm and use business to inspire and implement solutions to the environmental crisis.
In 2015, Carly transitioned to an HR position, supporting the retail employees as well as corporate employees. Patagonia has a long history of environmental grant giving, and Carly was a member of the corporate grants committee in 2016 and 2017. Recognizing that environmental damage effects everyone, the company has increased its focus on having a diverse workforce that is more reflective of the communities in which we work and support local nonprofits. Carly has been responsible for the creation and implementation of a retail DEI pilot program in the last year and is looking forward to seeing how the program impacts the retail stores.
