Fabian Willskytt is an ESG expert and Associate Director at Align Impact, leading the firm's research in public equity and fixed income with a focus on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors. In this role, he is responsible for manager selection and due diligence, portfolio management, research, and education. Fabian frequently contributes insights on ESG investing to industry and mainstream media outlets and occasionally represents Align in expert panels in industry conferences and other events.

Prior to joining Align, Fabian spent three years with HIP Investor, a boutique ESG research and investment firm based in San Francisco, where he was responsible for conducting company-specific ESG research, analyzing portfolios, and managing a suite of ESG-integrated investment strategies.

Fabian earned his MBA with a focus on Sustainable Business from San Francisco State University in 2015. During his time at SFSU, he participated in the Morgan Stanley Sustainable Investing Challenge, where he placed in the top-10 among more than 200 participating teams from top business schools around the world. Following his graduate studies, Fabian also spent three semesters teaching an undergraduate course on Sustainability & Innovation at SFSU.
