Laurence Ruffieux is Director Operations Sustainability at Philip Morris International leading the sustainability strategy of PMI manufacturing and supply chain. She has been with PMI since 1998 and led for several years the PMI Sustainable Agriculture function, developing strategies to improve the livelihood of smallholder farmers and their communities, and combat climate change.
When PMI was recognized for the fifth consecutive year on the CDP’s Climate A-List, Laurence was among the group of PMI employees who accepted the award.
Laurence began her career at the Museum of Zoology in Lausanne (Switzerland) as researcher while earning her Ph.D. in biology from the University of Lausanne and then spent a year as a biologist in a consulting firm on environment.
