Morgan Collins heads Starbucks' Sustainable Finance program. With a global mandate, this program focuses primarily in the coffee, dairy, and waste spaces, building opportunities which blend positive impacts to People, Planet, and Profit. Investments in the program vary in scale and form and are crafted to positively impact Starbucks environmental footprint in a tangible and science-based manner.
Morgan’s career started at BlackRock with three years in the BlackRock Alternative Advisors private investment group, prior to joining Starbucks Treasury. There, he started his work blending sustainability and finance.
Subsequently, Morgan became a co-program manager for Starbucks enterprise-wide sustainability initiative, working with the Interim Chief Sustainability Officer and Lead Program Manager. Here, he partnered with business/regional heads, and Starbucks Executive Leadership Team, to establish the company’s long-term sustainability aspiration, culminating in the January-2020-announced preliminary 2030 sustainability goals. Subsequent to the goals’ announcement, Morgan joined the Sustainability Team in his current role.
