As Senior Manager, Global Sustainability for Vans, Alyse Russel is responsible for the strategic direction and roadmap to reduce environmental impacts related to Vans products and operations. Since stepping into her role, she’s led the ongoing transition of 100% of Vans’ top 4 CO2 impact materials to regenerative, recycled, or responsibly sourced renewable by 2030. She’s also driven Vans’ commitment to progress regenerative agriculture pilots across a variety of materials in partnership with parent company VF Corp.

Prior to joining Vans in 2021, Alyse was on the Nike Sustainable Innovation team, dedicated to innovative material and component solutions that could lead to a zero-carbon and zero-waste future.

With over a decade of expertise in driving sustainability, Alyse holds a deep passion for innovation and the environment. She believes that brands hold the power and influence to effect positive change and is proud to be moving Vans toward an environmentally responsible future.

Alyse has spoken previously on regeneratively grown materials at AAFA Long Beach and in the Textile Exchange regen community of practice.
