A key member of Applegate's senior leadership team, Carolyn Gahn is responsible for setting strategic mission objectives, aligning Applegate's 40-year commitment to "Changing the Meat We Eat" with the company's business and revenue goals. Before joining Applegate in 2023, Carolyn served as Director of Farm-to-Institution for Aramark, a leading global foodservice provider, where she helped to support small farms and businesses by growing institutional food purchases. Carolyn started her career as a community organizer with Community Farm Alliance, and has worked on several diversified organic farms, including her own outside Lexington, Kentucky. Carolyn also spent a decade as a founding entrepreneur of a food manufacturing business and serves on the boards of the Organic Association of Kentucky and The FruitGuys Community Fund.
