Cindy Tews is a fourth-generation cattle producer and second-generation livestock market owner. She grew up riding horses alongside her mother and being responsible for many chores and caring for the livestock and the land. Along with her father and 25+ hard working individuals, they run Fresno Livestock Commission, LLC and 2 Lazy S Cattle. Cindy is the major shareholder, which is an anomaly in the marketing and livestock industries. They sell an average of 1000 head of livestock, with a customer base of 100 buyers and 100 sellers weekly. Cindy & Phil also have a cow/calf and stocker operation located on the western side of the Sierra-Nevada Mountains. Along with all the employees in the beef department, they hold the title of Beef Quality Assurance Marketer for 2023. It is a passion to be able to share her story and help facilitate education on animal agriculture and livestock marketing.
