Elisha Hedlin

Senior Account Manager
CJ Biomaterials

Elisha has spent over ten years helping bio-based and degradable materials mature and scale. As a leader in biomaterial business development, he’s expanded biomaterial visibility in the packaging space and helped commercialize multiple market-firsts. Elisha began his career with a pouch converter where he drove plant-based PE into the cannabis market. He also commercialized a multi-material stand-up pouch that contained 0% virgin petro plastic, believed to be a first at the time. Building on that experience, Elisha went further into biomaterials, moving to Futamura and working with NatureFlex packaging films. Managing a portfolio of plant-based, compostable films, Elisha helped launch the first BPI certified compostable stick pack to the commercial market. Now with CJ Biomaterials, Elisha is ushering in the future of bio-based materials. He collaborates with brands and industry partners to develop new materials and solutions that fit into everyday life. Whether it’s a new product or the package for it, Elisha has the knowledge and experience to make it a reality, with biomaterials. Outside of work, Elisha spends as much time as possible in the forest around his Idaho home base. He spends time alpine and Nordic skiing, hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, fly fishing, or just about anything else in the wilderness.
