Marcus is Enel’s Head of Sustainability for the USA and Canada, responsible for integrating sustainable business and stakeholder management practices into each of the business lines present in North America: Enel Green Power, Enel X, Enel X Way and Trading.

Marcus Krembs is Head of Sustainability, USA & Canada, at Enel North America, where he is responsible for sustainability across each of Enel’s offerings in the region.

Since 2015, Mr. Krembs served as Director of Sustainability for Enel’s renewable business line Enel Green Power, where he established and led the company’s Creating Shared Value model and community relations efforts across North American operations. These programs played a key role in helping Enel Green Power maintain its social license and grow its portfolio to more than six gigawatts, which currently includes 70 plants in 22 states and Alberta, Canada.

Prior to Enel, Mr. Krembs worked in progressive roles in environmental markets, carbon management and corporate sustainability with leading companies across the energy value chain.

Mr. Krembs received his bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Environmental Economics from Colorado State University.
