Shannon Ball

Shannon is a writer, environmentalist, and ocean advocate. As Ocean Uprise Global Manager at Parley for the Oceans, she leads a movement of young people in 45+ countries around the globe, mobilizing communities to preserve their local body of water and elevate nature-based solutions. Shannon has extensive experience in public speaking, program management, campaign creation, copywriting, and fundraising, specifically in the restoration and conservation space. She has spoken and moderated at the Ohana Festival storytellers stage in California, Women Making Waves panel in Hawaii, and Young Leaders Sunset Session in Cape Town, South Africa. Shannon has been recognized as an Aspen Ideas Future Leader and is the recipient of her alma mater's “innovators on the rise: young alumni making impact” feature. As an avid diver and snowboarder, all of Shannon's work prioritizes protecting her favorite playgrounds, on land and in the sea.
