Dr. Tom Flicker is the Director of Sustainable Value Chain initiatives at UL Solutions, ensuring the data and insights of UL Solutions software offerings will support the sustainability needs of suppliers, brands, and retailers. Prior to UL Solutions, Tom was the Global Lead for Sustainable Products at Amazon, responsible for improving the sustainability of products sold at Amazon. Additionally, Tom spent 10 years at Target in a variety of product sustainability-focused roles. He launched Target’s industry-leading chemical policy and established sustainable sourcing goals for forest commodities, cotton, and polyester. He was named to the Environment & Energy Leader Top 50 list in 2022, and in 2019, his work earned a Fast Company “World Changing Idea” nomination. Tom started his career at Kimberly-Clark and holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Michigan Technological University.
