Carlson Rezidor Hotel Provides Accessible Accommodation Solutions Across Asia Pacific with Accomable

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the world’s largest and most dynamic hotel groups, today announced its Asia Pacific initiative of partnering with Accomable, a UK- based pioneering global platform that provides specialised information and listings on assisted travel, adapted hotels and vacation rentals for disabled and elderly people. Other site highlights include useful tips such as nearby hotel attractions and travel information vital for all accessible travellers.

Guests can now view and book over 100 of Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group’s Asia Pacific hotels, equipped with accessible guestrooms and facilities, through Accomable’s website (www.accomable.com). The number of listings is intended to increase, in tandem with impending hotel openings and the Group’s expansion plans throughout the region.

"I am pleased that our partnership with Accomable has gotten off on a strong and encouraging start. Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group’s focus on improving the lives of our communities is one of the integral "Responsible Business" pillars that we constantly support. We are guided by the Carlson credo, and this initiative demonstrates our commitment and dedication in caring and catering for the specially-abled at our hotels," said Thorsten Kirschke, president, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, Asia Pacific.

Accomable’s CEO and co-founder, Srin Madipalli, noted, "We are excited to collaborate with Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group and their proven portfolio of strong brands. The accessible traveller community welcomes their hotels’ accessible guestroom features, excellent service and international hospitality standards that assure safety and comfort."

Accomable currently offers more than 600 accessible properties in over 60 countries worldwide, with plans to increase its listings to 1,500 properties by the end of the year.

About Accomable

Accomable is the world’s leading platform for booking specially adapted and accessible hotels rooms and holiday rentals. Built for disabled and older travellers or anyone with a mobility issue, Accomable offers more than 600 quality adapted places to stay in over 60 countries worldwide.

Based in London, UK, Accomable was founded by disabled entrepreneurs Srin Madipalli and Martyn Sibley. Friends since childhood and regular travellers, Madipalli (who now serves as the company’s CEO) and Sibley are both wheelchair users due to a disability called SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy). Frustrated at the lack of travel information available for disabled people, they launched Accomable in the summer of 2015.

Accomable raised record funding from private investors in May 2016. The company also received funding from the Skoll Centre based at Oxford University, where Mr Madipalli studied, via an initiative to support ventures that deliver social impact.

The Accomable guarantee

We check and verify each listing to ensure all information regarding accessibility is accurate. Visit www.accomable.com to find and book accessible hotel rooms and holiday accommodation worldwide.
