Shift No shift premium (United States of America) The Sustainability Copywriter is a critical member of the Living Progress team which is responsible for advancing the HPE environmental and social reputation with the key influencers and stakeholder groups that our business customers and investors turn to.

Reporting to the Chief Sustainability Officer, this individual will bring the HPE Living Progress story to life through written communications, identifying content opportunities and building out sustainability storylines around leading projects, programs, and partnerships. This will include the creation of long- and short-form content in a variety of formats, including reports, whitepapers, news articles, and thought leadership pieces. He/she will work closely with sustainability activation leads to ensure content aligns with Living Progress content strategy and messaging.

This role will also play a critical role in writing the annual Living Progress Report, including long-form copywriting and liaising with subject matter experts across the company.

This role ensures continued leadership and advances sustainability initiatives that build brand value, drive business success, and add credibility to HPE in the environmental community and with HPE customers.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Copywriting public-facing annual sustainability report, including content collection, outlining, and drafting long-form copy

  2. Researching and writing content, including blog posts, white papers, vignettes, and executive thought leadership pieces to establish HPE as a leader in sustainability

  3. Maintaining editorial calendar, leveraging industry trends and subject matter experts

  4. Story-mining to identify and develop stories from across the business, building a strong network of internal contacts

  5. Developing customer vignettes to showcase sustainable outcomes of HPE technology deployments

  6. Tracking performance of distributed content and themes to aid in the development of content strategy EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

  7. BA or BS in Journalism, Marketing, Sustainability or other related discipline.

  8. At least three years of corporate communications or journalism experience with heavy emphasis on writing and editing

  9. Natural storytelling abilities, eye for detail and grammatical accuracy

  10. Excellent writing and research skills with experience publishing white papers, reports, or media/journal articles

  11. Ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and develop deep content knowledge quickly

  12. Creative thinker with success using traditional and digital media to advance communications objectives

  13. Strong understanding of sustainability issues, preferably within the B2B ICT industry Hewlett Packard Enterprise is EEO F/M/Protected Veteran/ Individual with Disabilities.
