Global Brands Converge in Detroit for the Largest Event on Sustainability

The parade of new technologies and scientific breakthroughs have the potential to redefine global brands and improve quality of life. From June 3-6, 2019, Sustainable Brands® will host their flagship event, SB’19 Detroit, with BASF as the presenting sponsor, at Cobo Center to Deliver the Good Life of the Future.

Converging in Detroit, will be 3,000 brand leaders to hear from 300 speakers discussing the power and potential for science, technology, storytelling, and unlikely partnerships between brands, consumers, and celebrities. “We will also identify technology’s unintended consequences to enabling solutions,” said KoAnn Vikoren Skrzyniarz, CEO and Founder of Sustainable Brands. “We also will dive deep into the reality of our challenges, both external and internal, as well as showcasing the innovator and influencers that are of most impact."

Over the past 10 years, Sustainable Brands® has become the preeminent platform for shining a light on the power of purpose to drive brand success and the power of brands to change the world. Through a powerful lineup of the people behind the world’s most progressive companies, SB’19 Detroit will showcase brands and highlight the people that are succeeding by delivering The Good Life, including:

  • Marc Pritchard, Chief Brand Officer, Procter & Gamble
  • Laura Fruitman, Senior Brand Manager, Global Dove and New Brands, Unilever
  • Mike Newman, CEO, Returnity Innovations
  • Renee Henze, Global Marketing Director, DuPont
  • George Taylor, Chairman, TRU Colors Brewing
  • James Sullivan, Vice President, Sustainability Management & Strategy, SAP
  • Danielle Azoulay, Head of CSR & Sustainability, L'Oreal USA
  • Julie Corbet, President & Founder, Ecologic Brands
  • Dirk Voeste, Vice President of Sustainability Strategy, BASF

“We chose Detroit as a backdrop for this global conversation because the city and the people within in it have made significant progress in redefining and redesigning the Good Life in the last decade,” Skrzyniarz said. “This year, we are on the third year of a three-year conversation about how brands can redefine, redesign and ultimately deliver a new version of the American Dream or Good Life of tomorrow, through the products and services they create. Through innovative products we can begin making changes to our lifestyle that supports the health of individuals, our families, communities and the planet overall.”

Those participating in Sustainable Brands flagship event, SB’19 Detroit, will find the opportunity to connect with the world’s thought-leaders on how companies are becoming the driving force of change, and map their way forward to a sustainable future. SB’19 Detroit will provide brands the know-how, tools, and partnerships they need to increase confidence and transform their brands.
