Charlotte, NC, October 12, 2015 – Sealed Air Corporation (NYSE: SEE) has provided much needed assistance to residents affected by the historic flooding in South Carolina last month. The Company’s assistance ranged from monetary contributions to in-kind contributions of needed supplies and aid for the flood victims. The Company donated $100,000 cash to the American Red Cross, earmarked for South Carolina flood aid. Also in conjunction with the American Red Cross, the Company will donate and deliver a truckload of recycled heavy duty plastic film that can be used for shelter and construction tarps, and 2,500 disaster response comfort kits that were packed by employees at a gathering in June. The kits include toiletries and personal care items, which fulfill crucial daily needs that victims often lose in disasters such as flooding. Sealed Air also donated and delivered a truckload of the recycled heavy duty plastic film to a Feed the Children warehouse in Columbia, South Carolina. "Feed the Children is grateful to have Sealed Air as a partner who time and again generously contributes in time of need,” said Feed the Children’s Vice President of National Accounts, Mike Ghassali. “Today Sealed Air donated a truckload of needed tarps to the Columbia, South Carolina, area so residents there can cover their roofs and personal belongings. On behalf of all the friends and families of Feed the Children, thank you Sealed Air, and we wish you and all your employees all the best." Continuing a long-time relationship, Sealed Air will also donate nine pallets of personal care and cleaning product overstocks to Matthew:25 Ministries for distribution to flood victims. Sealed Air was recently named a "Green Giving Company" by Matthew 25. “The historic South Carolina flooding hit very close to home for many of our employees, customers, and partners,” said Margaret Frontera, Director of Corporate Responsibility and Government Affairs for Sealed Air. “We are grateful that we are able to help those affected by this catastrophic event by partnering with local agencies to deliver help where it is needed the most.” About Sealed Air Sealed Air Corporation creates a world that feels, tastes and works better.
