Amanda Goetsch

Program Manager, UW Extended Campus

Amanda Goetsch is the Program Manager for UW System's Undergraduate and Graduate Degree Programs in Sustainable Management.

Amanda received her Bachelor’s degree in Biological Aspects of Conservation with a certificate in Environmental Studies - as well as her Master’s degree in Conservation Biology and Sustainable Development with a certificate in Business, Environment and Social Responsibility - from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. During her time as a graduate student, she worked as the Sustainability Coordinator with Veolia Environmental Services, as well as Program Director for the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council's (WSBC) Green Business Program. It was through that program that she connected with Inpro, a Wisconsin-based, global, multi-million dollar product manufacturing firm. She was hired into a brand new sustainability manager position and developed the job as she performed it. In 2018, Amanda began overseeing the University of Wisconsin Sustainable Management bachelor’s, master’s and certificate programs. The programs focus on comprehensive sustainability solutions across all industries, sectors and career fields.

Her professional experience spans a wide range of topics including: systems and design thinking for sustainable solutions, employee engagement and training, product transparency documentation, global sustainability reporting, environmental management system and ISO14001 implementation, sustainability policy development and implementation, KPI development and implementation, biodiversity projects, community engagement, sustainability in the built environment, supply chain sustainability, sustainable business strategic planning, corporate social responsibility and effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders. She holds the LEED Green Associate credential; and currently serves on the Board of Advisors for the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council, the Governance Board for Cool Choices, Board of Advisors for Sustain Dane and the Market Leadership Advisory Board for the U.S. Green Building Council Wisconsin Community. Amanda is completing her Doctorate in Educational Sustainability through the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
