After years of agency side experience delivering big creative ideas and comms strategies for
some of the world's top brands like Google and Volvo, Marilla served as the VP, Marketing +
Comms at Bolt Threads where she created consumer demand for sustainable materials by
making “mushroom leather” mainstream in partnership with adidas, lululemon, GANNI, and
Stella McCartney. In 2023, she founded Conspirators, a creative impact agency, working with
nonprofits and mission-led brands to normalize getting climate conversations outside of the
“eco echochamber” and into the mainstream with social media creators and influencers.
