Novozymes is one of the 187 companies that has been awarded an A grade for its climate performance, earning a position on this global ranking of corporate efforts to mitigate climate change. The index presents 187 listed companies identified as demonstrating a superior approach to climate change mitigation.

The Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) announced that Novozymes received 86 points out of 100 within their new category, the Chemical Industry Sector. Novozymes’ score is in the top 3 percentile of sustainability leaders in their sector. This year Novozymes achieved the highest score for the Chemical Industry sector in both the Climate Strategy and Environmental Policy categories.
“We are very proud of our achievement, and see this as a result of Novozymes truly prioritizing the integration of sustainability into our business,” says Mads Bodenhoff, Vice President of Novozymes' Corporate Finance.
Novozymes highest increase in scores was found in the Operational Eco-efficiency, Social and Environmental Reporting and Talent Attraction and Retention categories.

The Society of Dyers and Colorists (SDC) revealed the winners of their annual innovation award recently in York, UK. As the world’s leading educational charity dedicated to advancing the science and technology of color worldwide, the SDC award recognizes innovation that has the potential to be an industry game-changer. The coveted award was won by Novozymes for their patented Combi process, an innovative solution that makes it possible for textile manufacturers to combine the biopolishing and bleach clean-up process ( the removal of residual hydrogen peroxide) in the dyeing step, and in turn, save time, energy, water consumption and ultimately cost.
