Perry Aulie

SVP – Value Added Products, Perdue Farms
Perdue Farms Inc

Perry Aulie is the Senior Vice President of Value Added. In this role, his team is constructing a billion-dollar value added business, refining edible oil for organic and conventional markets, formulating feed ingredients to enhance animal nutrition, and supplying organic feed to the growing organic market. Aulie’s passion is the coexisting challenges of climate and food production, and he partners with farmers to create solutions that address both challenges.

In recent years, the team has expanded opportunities for farmers growing high oleic soybeans; paid millions of dollars in premiums for farmers growing organic soybeans, corn, canola, and sunflower; spearheaded research funding to develop “better bean” technology for improved meal/oil and sustainable soybean varieties; and launched partnerships to pay farmers to sequester carbon.

Aulie, a veteran in the agriculture and food industries, joined the Perdue AgriBusiness team in 2019. A respected leader and innovator in global agribusiness, Aulie has agriculture leadership experience in Canada, Brazil and USA. This includes hands-on experience working end-to-end in the value chain—from farmers to retail customers. He is a Board Member for The Institute of Shortening and Edible Oils, a Corporate Advisor for the Farmers for Soil Health Marketplace and locally is a Board Member for the TidalHealth Foundation.

Aulie has a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture and a Master of Science degree in Agriculture Economics. He lives in Salisbury, Maryland with his wife where they enjoy The Food Tourism scene in their spare time.
