Additionally, a presentation that covers the e-waste recycling process and emphasizes the importance of recycling in contrast to sending electronics to landfills will be put on by reps from Green Initiatives and NetSpring.

“E-waste is a serious global problem and needs serious remediation. We are glad that a Fortune 500 company like Ford Motors takes this issue seriously and has decided to partner with Green Initiatives on addressing the problem,” said Nitin Dani, founder and director, Green Initiatives. “We believe that the [WE] Project offers not just a transparent and environmentally-friendly solution to the e-waste problem, but also serves as a cost-effective CSR project for companies and offers a valuable educational component to their staff.”

Circularity by Design: How to Influence Sustainable Consumer Behaviors

Join us Thursday, December 5, at 1pm ET for a free webinar on making circular behaviors the easy choice! Nudge & behavioral design expert Sille Krukow will explore the power of Consumer Behavior Design to drive circular decision-making and encourage behaviors including recycling and using take-back services. She will share key insights on consumer psychology, behavior design related to in-store and on-pack experiences, and how small changes in the environment can help make it easy for consumers to choose circularity.

“Ford always connects deeply with projects that help solve social and environmental problems,” said Tina Zhang, communications supervisor, Sustainability, Ford China. “We are constantly looking for local initiatives that we can support, especially when they provide our employees with an opportunity to make the world a better place. The Green Initiatives [WE] Project is a great example of such an initiative.”

The project’s official launch took place last Tuesday and Wednesday and is considered a component of the company’s 11th annual Global Caring Month.
