Campbell relies on a wide variety of suppliers to help us bring our food from the farm to your table. Diverse suppliers, including women’s business enterprises (WBEs) are important to ensuring that we meet the needs of our diverse consumer base. We are proud to have a long-standing commitment to providing opportunities for diverse suppliers, including WBEs.
Last week, the Women’s Business Enterprise Council of PA, DE and SNJ (WBEC) named us Partner of the Year at their Annual Awards Luncheon. Campbell was recognized for outstanding contributions that enabled the Council to successfully achieve its annual goals including engaging, recruiting and retaining WBEs. WBEC also acknowledged our exemplary leadership and achievements in supporting the growth of women-owned businesses. This honor is awarded to one corporation each year. Campbell’s contributions this year include:
- Updated Campbell’s Supplier Diversity Statement, reinforcing our commitment to providing opportunities for diverse suppliers.
- Joined a collaborative initiative with Walmart and other CPG companies to collectively report our spend with WBEs.
- Dedicated Campbell employee who served as the Program Committee Chair for WBEC.
- Sponsored programs and events focused on engaging local WBEs and providing opportunities to meet with Campbell procurement representatives.
One of our core values – Seek the Power of Different – reminds us that it’s good to be unique and work together. We believe that diverse suppliers positively impact our business and help ensure creative and innovative approaches across our organization.
