The Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) announced that Novozymes received 86 points out of 100 within their new category, the Chemical Industry Sector. Novozymes’ score is in the top 3 percentile of sustainability leaders in their sector. This year Novozymes achieved the highest score for the Chemical Industry sector in both the Climate Strategy and Environmental Policy categories.

Novozymes highest increase in scores was found in the Operational Eco-efficiency, Social and Environmental Reporting and Talent Attraction and Retention categories.

The survey results, which are published annually, are based on a comprehensive sustainability analysis on three overall dimensions: economic, environmental, and social as well as a number of sub-dimensions. These include corporate governance, product stewardship, operational eco-efficiency, and supply chain management, and occupational health and safety.
