Founded on the, “belief that unleashing the best of our human ingenuity and innovation can change the shape of business, and with it, the world,” the global Sustainable Brands community remains at the forefront of sustainability-led brand innovation. Conferences are attended by professionals from the world’s largest global brands as well as leading social entrepreneurs, NGOs, investors, academia and government agencies including: BASF, Target, Unilever, Starbucks, Coca-Cola, P&G, World Wildlife Fund, Rainforest Alliance and others. These groups share their best practices, case studies and key sustainability indicators in an inviting, collaborative environment.

“We are happy to have found a long term partner in Offsetters, a committed organization who shares our values and can help us to continue building the robust sustainability efforts of all of our live events,” says Valerie Miller, producer of live events, Sustainable Brands.

Offsetters started working with Sustainable Brands in 2014 by offsetting the organization’s San Diego conference (SB’14 San Diego), resulting in a reduction of 1,207.9 (tCO2e), equivalent to taking 254 vehicles off the road. In addition, representatives from Offsetters presented the company’s Great Bear Project – a carbon sequestration and economic initiative with BC’s Coastal First Nations – during a panel discussion at Sustainable Brands ’14 London.

“Sustainable Brands focuses not only on what is currently happening in the realm of sustainable practices, but encourages a shared approach by business leaders to see what can be possible in the near future,” says James Tansey, CEO of Offsetters Climate Solutions. “Offsetters is proud to be the carbon offset provider for Sustainable Brands, and we are most pleased to take part in discussions that will lead us all down a greater path to sustainability.”

At each of these three conferences through 2017, Offsetters will be profiling their advisory services, which help organizations and corporations determine carbon footprints, carbon reduction strategies, product life cycle inventories and reporting. Offsetters has worked with more than 150 of the world’s most prestigious organizations from the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games to Aimia and lululemon athletica.

Events produced by Sustainable Brands in 2015 include: SB’15 San Diego, San Diego, CA (June 1-4, 2015); New Metrics ‘15, Boston, MA (Oct. 6-8, 2015); and SB’15 London, London, England (November 2015).
