Sustainable Brands Welcomes Senior Director to Corporate Membership Team

SAN FRANCISCO, January 5, 2017 - Sustainable Brands® announced today that Darren Beck has joined the company’s leadership team as Senior Director of Corporate Membership to further develop and enhance the growing SB Corporate Member Network. Darren comes with a wealth of experience in sustainability, CSR and social impact, having spent 15 years with Sprint, most recently as the Director of Environmental Initiatives. Darren currently serves on the Advisory Board for StartupNectar, an incubator and accelerator that works with early-stage, biomimicry-based ventures, and was previously the Board President of the Wildwood Outdoor Education Center, an organization that connects at-risk, urban youth with nature. Darren has also written e-books to help businesses and consumers find affordable, technology solutions for operating and living more sustainably.

The Sustainable Brands Corporate Member Network is the leading peer-to-peer, learning and networking group designed to help global brand leaders across market sectors effectively leverage environmental and social innovation to build new business and brand value and ultimately become leaders of the next economy. Corporate Members include Target, Unilever, Procter & Gamble, Disney, Mattel, Estee Lauder, REI, UPS, HSBC and many others. Darren comments, “I’m excited to be joining an organization that I’ve admired for years. As a former member, I know first-hand the value Sustainable Brands can bring to companies that are seeking a better future for their business and the world. I look forward to working with our members, and other courageous optimists, to help them create a more prosperous, equitable and sustainable economy.”

“Darren’s wealth of experience and industry knowledge make him a key addition to the Sustainable Brands leadership team,” states KoAnn Vikoren Skrzyniarz, founder and Chief Executive of Sustainable Brands. “In a world where trust in governments’ ability to solve our social and environmental challenges is low, the desire and expectation among consumers worldwide that business play a key role in helping lead the way to a flourishing future is becoming more pronounced. This changing landscape creates both risk and opportunity for brands. Darren is well equipped to help Sustainable Brands and our Corporate Members accelerate the learning and collaboration that is already taking place within this important and growing network.”
