Overview

Join two conservation groups, the American Forest Foundation (AFF) and The Nature Conservancy (TNC), and two sustainability leaders, Domtar and VF Corporation, for a discussion on how companies are tapping into forests as part of their comprehensive climate strategy.

In the U.S., forests cover 766 million acres, providing one of the most significant opportunities for climate mitigation. Despite what most think, the largest portion of these forests – 36% – are owned by private individuals and families across rural America.

This webinar will provide different viewpoints on the benefits of investing in nature, the dynamics of forest ownership and the mechanisms to activating these forests in making progress on a company’s sustainability goals. Learn about a new program, the Family Forest Carbon Program, created by AFF and TNC that can help companies reach their climate goals and support rural communities across the country.

What You Will Learn

In this webinar, attendees will be presented with these takeaways:

  • Gain insight into the value nature brings to a company’s sustainability strategy
  • Why companies from all sectors are investing in forests
  • The benefits of working specifically with family-owned forests across America
  • What is the Family Forest Carbon Program and how it helps companies accomplish multiple goals
