Frank Michel is a decisive and determined leader with more than 20 years of experience leading multi-stakeholder initiatives focused on chemical compliance and sustainability within the fast-moving consumer goods industry (FMCG).

He is Executive Director of The ZDHC Foundation, a multi-stakeholder initiative on a mission to phase out hazardous chemicals in the global textile and footwear value-chain, and author of Detoxing the Fashion Industry, For Dummies — the first book to trace the history of chemicals in fashion, while crucially, pointing to new solutions.

Under Frank’s leadership, The ZDHC Foundation has grown a multi-stakeholder initiative of more than 160 contributors and expanded its geographical reach from headquarters in Amsterdam/Europe with offices now in Shanghai/China, Mumbai/India, Portland/U.S. and Milan/Italy.
