Peter Jones is Head of Sustainability Analytics & Impact at Ingka Group, a strategic partner to the IKEA franchisee system and the largest IKEA franchisee with 367 stores in 30 markets.

Peter is an experienced retailer and started his IKEA career in 2005. He held various roles in the financial, operational and business steering areas both in the UK and Canada. In 2014 Peter moved to Sweden with his family to lead the project to develop the ways to measure IKEA in an Omnichannel environment; and more recently, was Head of Pricing for Ingka.

Following his great passion for sustainability, advocating for sustainable solutions to be implemented both inside and outside of work, Peter took his current role in October 2018 leading a team of sustainability professionals in the global office. Utilizing his business experience, he complements the team to measure the impact that IKEA has on people, society and the planet, while also looking at the important business benefits of IKEA being a purpose-led organization with the ambition to become people and planet positive. This work is fundamental to integrating sustainability into the everyday decision-making processes in Ingka in a measurable way allowing 160,000 co-workers to see and improve their impact on people and the planet.
