Soybean Farmer Takes Active Role in Biodiesel Industry

Rob Shaffer — a fourth-generation soybean, corn and Angus cattle farmer — has been active in industry organizations for more than a decade. He was invited to join the National Biodiesel Board in 2012 and hasn’t looked back.

Rob Shaffer is a fourth-generation soybean, corn and Angus cattle farmer from El Paso, Illinois. He has been active in industry organizations for more than a decade. He was invited to join the National Biodiesel Board in 2012 and hasn’t looked back. His involvement in the biodiesel industry has taken him to Washington D.C. and production facilities in small towns.
