Apathetic Consumer Discovers 'Hidden Consequences' of Irresponsible Products in Rainforest Alliance's Latest Video

As the Rainforest Alliance’s third annual Follow the Frog Week comes to a close, we take a look at this year’s campaign video, "Hidden Consequences."

The film depicts how the rippling impacts of our everyday consumption choices are often unacknowledged or misunderstood by the average consumer, and illustrates the truly short distance between products' original sources and our kitchens. Though light on facts, which may have helped viewers better understand these consequences, it provides a quick snapshot of the many important reasons to shop more consciously.

Rainforest Alliance’s campaign microsite also urges viewers to take a pledge and follow the frog by looking for the program’s emblem on packaging before purchasing products.

"Hidden Consequences" is the follow-up to last year’s hugely popular "Follow the Frog" video, which offers a hilarious commentary on misguided extremist advocacy.
