Women’s Leadership Conference Brings Together Top Female Executives

Four female executives at the top of their respective fields will come together next month for a “Presidents panel” at the Women’s Leadership Conference in Las Vegas.The panel will include Carol Evans, President of Working Mother Magazine; Kathleen (K.C.) Ciaramello, President of National Foodservice & On-Premise at Coca-Cola Refreshments; Cindy Kiser Murphey, President and COO of New York-New York Hotel & Casino; and Gail Becker, Chair of Canada, Latin America and U.S. Western Region, Edelman Communications.

The panel will include Carol Evans, President of Working Mother Magazine; Kathleen (K.C.) Ciaramello, President of National Foodservice & On-Premise at Coca-Cola Refreshments; Cindy Kiser Murphey, President and COO of New York-New York Hotel & Casino; and Gail Becker, Chair of Canada, Latin America and U.S. Western Region, Edelman Communications.

The panelists will discuss several topics relating to working women, including the delicate balance of work vs. life; using the power of influence; the importance of role models; diversity in the workplace; the role of higher education; how to climb the corporate ladder and the development of tomorrow’s leaders.

"We have a splendid slate of speakers joining us this year," said Phyllis A. James, Executive Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer of MGM Resorts International. "Conference attendees will be able to return to their work environments inspired and equipped with new ideas, strategies and tools to foster greater personal and professional success."

For the 7th consecutive year, the Women’s Leadership Conference is open to women of all ethnicities, professions and social backgrounds, both locally and nationally, as well as men who support women.

Besides the Presidents panel, the organizers say the conference will feature keynote speakers, empowering workshops, entertainment and networking opportunities.

The non-profit MGM Resorts Foundation is the conference’s presenting sponsor and will partner for the first time with the nationally renowned Women’s Food Service Forum (WFF), one of the industry’s foremost leadership development organizations. All proceeds from the conference after costs will be donated to local nonprofit agencies devoted to the welfare and professional development of women and girls.

The Women’s Leadership Conference will takes place August 8-9 at the MGM Grand Conference Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Conference registration is available at $350 per person.
