This session will share progress made to date on ‘The 50 Liter Home’–a global cross-industry partnership aimed at reducing water consumption in the home by installing premium-efficiency fixtures and appliances available in the market today, while also generating awareness that leads to better lifestyle choices for sustainable water use.
Learning outcomes:
- How this initiative is designed to address systemic risks at the climate/energy/water nexus – risks that are being further exacerbated by changing lifestyle patterns, increased industrialization, population growth, and rapid urbanization
- How partner companies are pooling resources and expertise in an effort to reshape the global narrative on domestic water consumption
- How the ‘50 Liter Home’ program is explicitly tying addressing urban water crises to a menu of financially-beneficial opportunities for communities
