Paula Marrs joined Aveda in 2021 as the Senior Manager, Global Sustainability. Paula is responsible for differentiating Aveda through Sustainability achievements and driving awareness and stakeholder engagement in the Aveda Mission. She achieves this by creating and supporting Sustainability campaigns and initiatives that enhance and evolve Aveda’s long-standing commitment to set an example for environmental leadership and social responsibility in the world. Paula has a B.S. in Business from University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point and an M.B.A from the University of Minnesota Carlson School. In relocating to the Twin Cities, Paula discovered the Aveda Institute and immediately became a brand advocate. Fast forward, Paula joined Aveda bringing together her passion for impacting the Earth, people, and animals with a brand heartbeat captured in an amazing mission and beloved products.
Paula’s career experience across industries including beauty, agriculture and CPG and multiple functions give her a well-rounded perspective. Her experiences at 3M Company, Cargill and General Mills gave her opportunities in everything from new products marketing, business development, procurement, human rights, and global supplier diversity. Paula believes Human beings and the Environment deserve to be treated with respect and given the opportunity to realize their full potential. That individual, companies and our global communities mutually benefit when all have a citizenship perspective. This work matters to her professionally and personally.
