Many Sustainable Brands Corporate Members have been named in DiversityInc’s Top 50 Companies for Diversity. The list was created in 2001 in response to the emerging business value of diversity-management initiatives. To participate, each company must submit a form, have at least 1,000 employees, and complete NOD’s disability employment tracker. The company then receives a subsequent report card which evaluates its performance in talent pipeline, talent development, leadership accountability, and supplier diversity in comparison to competitors within the same industry.

Mastercard today reported its initial $100 million contribution to the Center for Inclusive Growth Fund, part of a $500 million commitment to support initiatives that focus on long-term economic growth for everyone. The fund has been designed to deliver on philanthropic goals shared with the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth. Chief among these goals are to reduce income and information inequality, increase financial inclusion and workforce skills development, and make people and businesses more resilient in the face of a rapidly changing economy.

Larry Fink’s recent clarion call to capitalism that managing “environmental, social,and governance (ESG) matters demonstrates the leadership and good governance that is so essential to sustainable growth” should not fall on deaf CEO ears.
